Setup Initialization Error "Setup is unable to find installation languages in C:\DOCUME~1\ADMINI~1\LOCAL~1\Temp\_ISTMP2.DIR\SETUP.LID file. Error 105", when attempting to install P3 3.1 on 64-bit versions of Windows XP or Windows 2003. 

This is a known issue with P3 3.1 and Windows XP Professional x64 Edition or Windows 2003 Server x64 Edition, which are a 64-bit Windows operating systems.  These platforms are not supported platforms for P3 3.1. However P3 3.1 is a 16-bit application.  Testing with Windows XP Professional x64 Edition and Windows 2003 Server x64 Edition show that P3 (and any 16-bit application) will not install on these platforms, nor can any 16-bit applications run on this platforms.

Project Planner version 3.1, Service Pack 3 has been tested on the following Microsoft Operating Systems:
Desktop Operating Systems:

• Microsoft Windows 95 C *
• Microsoft Windows 98 SE *
• Microsoft Windows ME *
• Microsoft NT 4.0 SP6a *
• Microsoft Windows 2000 SP4
• Microsoft Windows XP SP3
• Microsoft Windows Vista 32 bit

Server Operating Systems:

• Microsoft NT Server 4.0 SP6a *
• Microsoft 2000 Server SP4
• Microsoft 2003 Server

Microsoft no longer supports these platforms, but Primavera should run successfully on these platforms.   Any issues specific to these Operating Systems will not addressed by Primavera.

NOTE: Any 64-bit versions of Windows Operating Systems are NOT a supported platform for P3.
